This Brockway truck portrait was painted in acrylic on a 16" x 20" x 1" canvas. I saw this truck sitting in a garage yard outside of Woodstock, NY. Brockway made heavy duty trucks in Cortland, NY from 1912 to 1977.
Kathryn Barry, PhD, has had an avid interest in the arts since childhood. As a young adult, she studied art history at the Sorbonne; the course included after-hour seminars in The Louvre galleries. She went on to become a high school teacher of math and biology for special-ed teens. On the side, Kathryn restored and renovated/landscaped old homes of architectural interest in the Blue Ridge Mtns of VA, Catalan Spain, NY, NH, VT and FL. Kathryn has traveled widely in the US, Central and South America, Europe, SE Asia, NZ and Australia. She is an avid gardener and out-doors sports-woman. Kathryn served as on the board of the Delray Art League. She is currently on the board of Plein Air Palm Beach serving as the treasurer.
